WWC / Keeping It Short

Oh, boy! I can hardly believe how fast the weeks are rushing by these days. It is Tuesday already, and time for the Weekly Words Challenge once again. This fun little game is presented to you by our own daydreaming procrastinator Tink of Pickled Beef - and this week we shall play with the words THREE and FIRE.

Now, I went out this morning, and I had a couple of interesting photos I wanted to take. It turns out... (now get this - in case you weren't aware) ...it turns out, it's not easy to take pictures minus a camera. I had put my camera out - clearly visible, so I wouldn't forget it when I left the apartment. Guess what - it was still sitting there, next to my shoes when I came home tonight. So, I don't have as many pictures as I'd like - but enjoy the ones I DO have for you!

Keeping it short today, because I'm all out of time it seems. I'll get around to checking out all y'all's blogs by tomorrow (I hope). Right now, things have been busy with the job hunt, the stupid UO, working out, and fixing up a bit of a computer crash I had, which cleared out my wonderfully catalogued system of all my CD's, Vinyls and MP3s... and I have a lot of them! As if that's not enough... I have a bit of an obsession about keeping my stuff "organized" and especially catalogued.

Pics for you this week:

Don't forget to return next week to check out another WWC. We'll be playing with the words SEVEN and EARTH next time around. That too is sure to be a lot of fun!

Wow I'm first again. Swear I'm not stalking although I could have told you that you weren't carrying your camera but well - restraining order and all! ;)

All the photos are great. My favorite is 3 o'clock and hearts of fire.

OMG!!! I am in love with that TREE! You had great photos all around but I'm such a tree hugger lol :) Trees are cool. Love what you did with the whole theme.

You Rock as always.

Your pictures are just amazing. Seriously, what kind of camera is that that you get such great pictures?

I think this is your best WWC yet. I loved every single one. I thought the three toothpicks was fantastic and it would be my favorite but every single damn picture wow'd me!

That bonus picture is perfect. I want to reach up and grab one of those branches then climb as high as possible. The lighter is rockin'. You have a heart candle? What a romantic man you are.

I really like the three toothpicks shot, and the candle shots. I have to say though that that tree is the best!

I like the hearts of fire. Very romantic! ;-)

I hear you on the busy-ness. I keep cramming blogging into the cracks in my schedule, but some days it gets really tight.

You gave me my clock, I'm happy *wink*

I thought the three toothpicks was pretty cool. All of them were great though.

These just get better and better! :-D

I actually loved the toothpick one best. Who knew toothpicks could have so much drama?!

Great angles! For some reason, the clock pic really struck me (I just realized what a bad pun that is...sorry...but I'm leaving it in!)
You really see things from a unique angle. Makes me sorry you forgot your camera yesterday. ;)

You know, toothpicks could have been a pretty boring subject to photograph. But somehow you worked it so it turned out really interesting. Well done! Your photography is getting better and better. I really love the angle on the clock, the hair on fire painting, and the fire from above shot.

FIRE! I *heart* fire :)

Awesome pics! Hope the job hunting is going okay. There is nothing worse in my opinion! Sorry to hear about the computer crash. I had that happen a couple of times and it really sucks to go back and put all the music back on and organize it again.

Dianne: The restraining order is lifted for occasions like that ;)

I gotta keep my head in the game! Can't forget my camera like that!

Cinder-Single: Well, the job hunt isn't exactly going my way - the UO are making sure of that.

Aunt Jackie: Thanks. That tree pic was taken a couple of weeks back, but I decided to hold on to it for a bonus pic at a later time. I thought it came out pretty nice.

Krishna: Thank You. Actually, my camera is nothing special - just a small pocket variety Sony 5.1 MegaPixel. It does have Carl Zeiss lense though, which is of good standard.

Newt: Wow... the toothpicks, huh? That was one of those panic pictures I took when I came home having left the camera behind ;) Glad you liked it!

Knight: We could climb up that tree together and have a romantic heart-candle lit dinner... and pray the branches don't catch fire - that would put an end to romance in a hurry ;)

Reb: You like the toothpicks too? I must have done something right with that one. The candles and the tree are my personal favorites also.

Sparkling Red: It's getting old being romantic all by myself ;)

And, I will continue to be a busy man for a while - being unemployed around here is a lot more work than actually working...

Dana: You got a clock - just not a clock tower... I'll see what I can do about that one.

Jay: It's amazing how my panic picture seems to be very popular - makes me happy ;)

I want to lay under that tree all day long and paint and listen to music and...
how's job hunting? your perfect job is right around the corner, i can feel it :)

Knight said...

Wouldn't it be a romantic way to go if they did catch fire? I kind of like that story.

Guilty Secret: And, who knew the toothpicks would be so popular? ;) I held them out in front of a white screen on the monitor to get it like that.

Kcinnova: The clock pun was actually quite funny ;) I like to play around with angles a little - gives it a break from the norm.

Tink: Boring is what I thought that toothpick-pic (how'z that for a funny word?) was, but apparently it rocks! ;) Glad you enjoyed the pictures!

Leighann: Did you ever hear a band called HammerFall? They did a song called Hearts Of Fire, which is what inspired that caption ;)

Pookie Sixx: The job hunt is driving me crazy - I have been removed from my primary search area, because they don't feel I have enough experience... so now I'm forced to look for retail jobs only. I want friggin' out of retail.

About the computer crash though - it'll be sweet when I'm done. I'm making a much better structured database of my music... no more wondering what I have or where it is ;)

Fortune Cookies: Yeah, that tree does look very relaxing, doesn't it?

Job hunt... update later today...

Knight: It is a bit macabre... but I like it too. They would embrace and hold eachother tight as the flames engulf them ;)

Knight said...

You always include a little gruesomeness in your stories. You just played PFC with the WWC. I love it!

R.E.H. said...

Knight: I guess it's something that just happens all by itself ;) I can't help it.

Are you in a pyromaniac mood, REH?

The T(H)REE is my absolute favorite!!! Gotta' run, Hun! Hungry children ;o)

[mumbling to myself on the way out] ...barking up the wrong t(h)ree, LOL

Great pics, you really are getting better every time!

My faves are the tree & the toothpicks. And the lighter reminded me of concerts.

You & Jay both had red make-out candles, ROWR :)

R.E.H. said...

Jill: I've always found it quite fascinating to set things on fire... including myself ;)

Farmer*s Wife: The T(H)REE is my favorite too. Now, go feed your children, I would hate to be the cause of any hungry children in the world ;)

Jo: I kinda miss the good ol' 80's and the concerts back then - it was so much better than anything I get to go see these days...

Glad you liked the pics!

I hope it's not at the literrate point of view of it!
