WWC / Party Time

At the blink of an eye, another week has passed us by and it has become Tuesday again. And, as always Tuesday's are when we play a little game called the WWC (aka Weekly Words Challenge).

The fun and games is, as you darn well should know, brought to you by Blogville's very own gorgeous Prom Queen, Tink of Pickled Beef, and the words she has chosen for us to play with this week are FIVE and WIND.

For a second there I thought I wasn't going to get any pictures this week, because there has not been a hint of a breeze in the air all week... but, I started to think outside the box a little and came up with quite a few pictures for you this week.

Another little note. I got a call from a (former) co-worker the other day, and now they've finally decided to throw me a going away party this weekend. It has been something we always do when someone leaves the job - throw them a party in their honor. I was beginning to worry that I wasn't "popular" enough for them to want to party with me... hehe. And, some of these people I still consider my friends. So, it's going to be fun - and I'm going to get wasted.

Yes, I really don't have a choice. This one girl, who made the call, is probably as good at drinking as my favorite party gal Tequila Mockingbird. There is just no way anyone can escape the liqour assault when she's around... and, she's always a lot of fun.

Well, Friday is my last official day of employment at the place - so I guess now is the time to actually go crazy.

Ok - with that said... let's look at this weeks WWC pictures:

Those are my pictures for this week!

Tink hasn't posted her WWC yet, so I'll get back here to update this post with the words for next week once she does.

Tink has now posted her WWC, and announced that the words for next week are ONE and WATER. That should be reasonably easy and fun (last time I said a WWC was going to be easy I struggled like hell).

Don't forget to check out the pictures for the next PFC in case you missed the post yesterday!

Your 5 o'clock shadow was my favorite! Have a great time this weekend, but be SAFE!! We still expect a Sunday Funday post *giggle*

Glad you're getting a party! :)

YAY for parties! Have a drink for all of us *giggle*

Great job on the photos again this week! Give me 5 and 5 o'clock shadow are my faves!

I really like the shot of the Bicycle. It's kind of haunting. I guess cause in my sick mind the person that was riding it is in the water as well but obviously that isn't likely.

Give me five has really cool lighting on your hand but why did you blur out your handsome face?

Great pics! My favs are also the five o'clock shadow (although, you should have entered one more too of your actual [jaw/cheek] scruffly five'o'clock shadow)!

I considered having my kids do a high five...but this thought only came to me after, I'd dropped them at school this morning.

But, as we have a busy afternoon/evening so I had to put mine up this a.m.

Anyhoo....another party?! Can we come? Take us on the lap top (I think you mentioned having one).

Then, you can drunk bloggie post all night! I could use a good, hang out with fun people (and not have to be all political and restrained), kinda' party...

Happy Tuesday!

I was kinda hoping to see you use "wind" (as in wind a clock) rather than focusing on "wind," especially since it wasn't windy. But oh well. (Or maybe Tink specified that it was windy-wind and not wind a clock wind?) Anyway, good pics. Love the one under the bridge.

Probably tonight I'll put up a new post, but whether it will be about the date or not I don't know. I am thinking I might need some more time to think about that before I try to write about it.

r.e.h., if there was only one thing we could say you do well, it would be think outside the box, it's what makes you so friggin creative! I love your 5 o'clock shaddow! but i think my fav. is the view from under the bridge! those clouds against a perfectly blue sky look like a great desktop! Enjoy your party.

Tink said...

REH, you've outdone yourself this week! Truly. The trees, the duck, and the view under the bridge were beautiful. The shadow and the bike cracked me up. Well done dude.

Dana: I can't promise you a Funday Sunday... it might me more of a Bumday Sunday... ;)

~Angela~: So am I. It's going to be a fun one, I'm sure!

Leighann: How drunk do you want me to get? ;) Glad you liked the pics!

Knight: If every bicycle under water came with a dead body, there would be a whole lot of stiffs floating the waters around here ;)

I think the blurring was in the best interest for all of us ;)

Farmer*s Wife: "Hey, man! Cheers!"

"Can you shut up? I'm on the computer here!"

...

I don't think that works too well for the party ;)

I did consider shooting my actual 5 o'clock shadow as well (sporting one right now in fact), but that one pic was taken pretty much around five o'clock so it's reasonable enough...

And, that high five pic was really difficult to pull off, believe it or not - I just couldn't capture myself in the mirror! ;)

Emmeline: The other definition of "wind" never crossed my mind... that's surprising (?).

Oh, I can't wait to hear how that date went! Even if you don't want to talk about it yet (which gives me bad vibes... if it went well, you'd be dying to tell us...), I'll be looking forward to a new Emmeline post!

Single In The City: I'm surprised that so many liked the 5 o'clock shadow. Funny how sometimes the least expected become popular...

...oh, and I think the most fun I had at a "mini-party" took place under a bridge. (No! Nothing weird... just a couple of us guys drinking and having a lot of fun)

Fortune Cookies: Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures, I took most of them between loads of laundry this morning. If there is one other thing you could say about me, it is that I always do things at the very last minute ;)

Tink: Thanks! I'm so happy to hear that you liked the pictures this week... I sure hope that I have made up for that missed week with the past two collections of pictures ;)

Five o'clock shadow, ha! [snicker]
Well played as usual, R.E.H.! I particularly liked the leaf caught on the branches. Did you see Chatty's wind picture? She used watches!

Fabuloso shots this week!! Very scenic! Always enjoy your shots... I'm up as well... for what it's worth this week :P

We've had enough wind in this great state of Texas of ours, that surely, if you borrowed some, it would NOT be missed!

Vary Niiiice photo's!

Party time!

Great job on the words dude. The five pipes was cool. I was turning my head trying to find what angle to look at those from. Love the five trees too. And pic under the bridge.

It's good that you're getting a party. From what you've been through at that job, you sure deserve one. :-) I look forward to hearing how it goes.

yay for the party!! I hope you have a fabulous time...hope you can function a wee bit later... :)
Good idea thinking outside the box for the pictures. You exceeded your goal I'd say. Oh and btw.... you've got great hands!!!!!

Actually the reason I don't want to talk about it is BECAUSE it went well. I don't want to get my hopes up too high only to have them dashed. I'm terrified I'm misreading all his signals and I don't want to get my heart crushed. So I'm trying to keep my feet on the ground which is why I can't write about it yet. I would hate to write a really gushy post about how well it went and then have to say two days later that he said he wasn't that into me. :)

five o'clock shadow and caution to the winds - love them! And most creative use of non-wind I've never seen...so to speak!

You're so clever, those were great! 5 o'clock shadow, the view from under the bridge & the bike were my faves. High-fiving yourself made me smile---you're such a tease blurring out your face! :P

Sweeeet, they're throwing you a party! Have fun, come back with dirty stories!

R.E.H. said...

Alice: Welcome! Glad I can inspire you with my pictures - always nice to hear something like that.

Tequila Mockingbird: I should get you two together. Not sure I would survive such a night, but at least I'd go out with a smile on my face ;)

Reb: Thanks. The shadow and the bridge shot seem to be the two winners of the week.

Kcinnova: Finally someone mentions the leaf ;) That was my personal favorite!

Aunt Jackie: Glad you liked'em - and I'll be right over to check out yours!

R.E.H. said...

Jen: Thanks for the offer, but the wind has not been missed by me ;) (Except of course, it could've been useful for picture taking purposes)

Jay: That fifth pipe was a little off from the others, so I had to find an angle which would include them all. Glad you liked the pics!

Sparkling Red: Providing that I remember much of the night, I'll let you all know how it went down ;)

Fiwa: Thanks. Yeah, spring is upon us in style right now - and I'm enjoying it. Rain has been forecast for the weekend though, which kind of sucks.

TT: The party is going to be a lot of fun (I hope). And, I had to go outside the box this week... turned out pretty well apparently.

R.E.H. said...

Emmeline: Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. The dude would be nuts not to be into you. Glad it did go well!

Chatty: The non-wind situation was getting to me... I kept looking at the tree tops hoping to see a little sway all week, but it wouldn't happen ;)

Jo: Made you smile with that high fiving, huh? I'm glad to hear it - always nice to make a lady smile.

And, hopefully there will be some dirty stories to tell after the weekend!

cool pictures. You always do a good job!

Karen: Thanks! Glad you enjoy them!

You do really add up some water picture every week! Me liking it! I really like the leaf one...And I would like the high five one if one thing would be clearer!

R.E.H. said...

Jill: What? It isn't clear I'm high fiving myself? ;)

Glad you liked the pictures. I'm a little upset with myself for having a bunch of good pics of water this week, as next week we're supposed to do water... I'll just have to get a bunch of new ones!

Dianne said...

Oh I love the 5 trees!!

Did you read that the oldest tree in the world has been discovered in Sweden. They say it's 10,000 years old.

Jill said...

REH, take it like that it would make me really happy! You know my attachment to water!I hope you come out with good ones(but that seriously shouldn't be a problem for you!)

R.E.H. said...

Dianne: Now that you mention it, I think I may have heard that... unless it's a recent discovery. I know there is a tree somewhere that is mighty old anyway... that's interesting. Maybe I'll see if its close by and get a picture of it...

Jill: You'll be pleased to see some water in next weeks WWC then.

I'm waiting!
