Funday Sunday: "Garfield"

I wanted to do something else this Funday Sunday, as I've found that I always post some video clip. This week I present to you my favorite comic strip of all time - Garfield.

You've all heard and seen this funny little cat before, but I can't get enough of Garfield. There's just something about him that reminds me so much of myself (in that he's so lazy and that he loves food).

I also found, looking at the official Garfield website that one could create their own Garfield comic strips. I had to try it out, and although one could do so much better if spending some time on that little application, I quickly whipped this little comic strip together.

I hereby present to you, an original R.E.H. "Garfield Comic".

In other news... I have a new idea that I wanted to share with you all. I believe I will present this one tomorrow - it's a new challenge that I hope one or two of my readers are willing to participate in.

I will also (hopefully) bring you the next chapter of Rubicon Heart on Wednesday, if all goes to plan.

Have a great (funday) Sunday!

Create custom Garfield cartoons? The possibilities are limitless. I am definitely going to check out that link. Thanks for sharing! :-)

Garfield rocks!

The movies sucked, but at least they had Jennifer Love Hewit to look at.

Custom made Garfield is a great idea. I know where I'll be spending the rest of my day.

Fiwa: Don't we all have those kind of "Garfield Days", when we don't want to do anything but relax.

Sparkling Red: I found that it was quite limited, though. Do share anything you come up with!

Jay: Yeah, I didn't see the movie. I want three frames of a comic stip... not 25 frames per second for 90 minutes of Garfield.

Do share your creations too, Jay - I'd love to see what you guys come up with.

Hint: I did a little cheating with the speach boxes... I cleared them in photoshop and added the text there... it was barely readable otherwise.

I can make my own Garfield comic?? Who knew! By the way, yours really was my favorite!

You just made me realise that it's been a while since I've read some Garfield!!

R.E.H. said...

Dana: Thanks! Yep, you can... so get busy comic "stripping" ;)

Jill: One can never read too much Garfield!

I will have a go at stripping to! Cheers!

that first comment almost makes me want to get fat, so i can hit people with my gut. how hot would that be?

R.E.H. said...

Casdok: Stripping is always a good idea ;)

Odd Facts: Oh, thanks! I'll be right over to check it out!

Jay Cam: Almost as good... almost???. Yeah, thanks. I think I will try to put a couple more together - it was fun.

Tequila Mockingbird: I think Garfield has a special talent for belly bumping. Just getting fat isn't gonna do it... you'll need years of training to do that!

"new challenge"
oh hell REH, what kind of trouble are you going to try and get me into now? Unless this is like a group plan to get back at Jilly?

Karen said...

I love Garfield and I am totally excited for the new challenge.

TT: Thanks ;) Sleep is something I could sure use more of...

Jill: Uhm... and why not?

Lakota Princess: Nah, I'm not plotting some kind of revenge. This is totally voluntary... but it's a rather "tough" challenge - for some, I guess.

Karen: Garfield Rocks! The new challenge Rocks! ;)

Butterfly Girl: I like to tease ;)

Emmeline: As I mentioned - there's a lot of Garfield in me, so I can easily get into character ;)

How fun, your own Garfield comic!

Do you think Heathcliff and Garfield were long lost brothers?

Garfield ROCKS! Along with Peanuts!

I had a "Garfield Day" yesterday. I did not. one. thing.

Oh, and it's never too late to dress up in your Mom's high heels and take pictures for us! KISS ROCKS!

R.E.H. said...

Cardiogirl: It was! I just need to spend some more time with it, and maybe come up with something better ;)

Tink: Heathcliff may be Garfield's evil twin... or maybe it's the other way around?

Leighann: Peanuts may very well be a close second... or third. I love that pig (Orson?) from the creator of Garfield...

Real Live Lesbian: Garfield days are good days ;)

I outgrew my mother's feet, so it is not do-able (dodged that one, didn't I?)

I like Nurmel.

Or however you spell it.

Cute kills. It is my weapon of choice.

Samantha K: Cute kills? Ok... I am now officially afraid. I was drawn to cute... but now I'm thinking I should stay clear!

Jill: Ok... I was wondering, maybe it was some ideological reason ;)
