You gotta love those Japanese television shows!
Today I chose a Funday Sunday post which makes you think twice about riding a taxi ever again. I just wish I could understand what they are saying in this clip, but words aren't really necessary to get the feel here.
Anywhere else in the world - the TV-station would have their asses sued if they pulled a stunt like this! This would surely be the ride of your life.
Unless... if you're from New York City, this is pretty much just your average ride. Last time I took a cab in NYC (a couple of years ago) I actually hit my head on the ceiling.
Enjoy!

Japanese television is both exciting and frightening at the same time!
That was too funny; however, I may not have said the same thing had I been the passenger. Poor guy, he looked terrified!
Even the commercials on Japanese television are scary!
I loved when the passenger kept pointing to the back of the cab - I now know how to say "dude the car's on fire" in Japanese.
and you're right about NYC cabs.
thanks for yet another great start to my Sunday.
BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!
That was AWESOME! Thanks for the great laugh man.
I think it would be worth it to move to Japan just for their crazy TV shows.
How is that even physically possible?
Did the doors fall off? I was leaving that last comment, and then I scrolled up and there were no doors.
Okay, the best part is that after ROLLING THE CAR, it appears that the driver attempts to charge the guy! AWESOME.
WOW and WTF at the same time. LOL!! That driver was dangerous, I like that! I want to drive like that.HAHA
Have a great Sunday!!
That's why I don't believe in going places that require a pass-port. (So close minded in my old age..just afraid I'll get stuck on the other side of the border should we go "lock down.")
And, I prefer to drive, almost always....except with DH.
I trust him and he drives a really big truck :)
Happy Sunday!!
Ha, that reminds me of my taxi ride home last night.
Having ridden in quite a few Korea taxi's, this video induced post traumatic stress symptoms!
R.E.H., hitting your head on the ceiling in a NYC cab is par for the course! LOL!
I am judging the "What if" meme tomorrow... Thanks for participating!
scariest place for traffic: Rome.
You know that passenger had to change his shorts when he got out of that cab.
Bwahahahaha
I was impressed with the driver's ability. The little fake IEDs at the end were a nice touch as well.
It should be noted that if your taxi comes with a 4 point seat belt the ride might get a little crazy.
Rich
Japanese TV is so odd. They come with some crazy stuff.
Thanks for posting that funny video R.E.H.I could not help but laugh at that hair raising ride. And since it made me have fun and laugh,I didn't want anybody to miss out of the fun, so I posted your link on my blog at:
http://myspace.com/kristenbjorg.
And, dude you'll like my pics,if you drop by.I just love posing for pics. What is that called? When one thinks he or she looks so good they get opsessed with posting pics of themselves on myspace?Do you happen to know anything about that R.E.H.?After all I am 54,not 19.LOL.But,I'll never stop playing games and playing at the playground and I would love to be married to a photo journalist/musician,it would be Valentine's day forever for me,then.
Leighann: It is, and that's what makes it so cool!
Jen: Yeah, I just love the look on the poor dudes face! One can imagine how one would react in the same stituation though ;) Too funny!
Akelamalu: Since I love a good scare, I should check out some Japanese commercials then ;)
Dianne: "Dude, the car's on fire!" - and what a useful sentence that is... apparently is if you go over there!
Gene Bach: Welcome to the Madman's Den! And, thanks - I aim to please!
Jay: I would sure like to move there - let's not forget about the hot asian women!
~Angela~ (x3): Some pretty impressive driving skills, huh? And, yes the doors came off! I think at the end though he is trying to tell him it's a candid camera thing, but the guy just doesn't understand... but, then again, my understanding of the Japanese language is limited to say the least.
Single In The City: That would be a great way for you to blow out some of that road rage! There was a time when I wanted to be a stunt driver...
Farmer*s Wife: HA! You make me laugh :D No place that requires a passport, huh? I guess you coming to Sweden for a visit is out of the question then...
Knight: I figured you would feel right at home watching this clip ;)
Dana: They actually DO drive like that over there? ;) Cool, didn't know you've been to Korea... I'd love to go there some day.
Câmera Digital: Right on! My man! ...
The Teach: I was holding on for dear life... and it hurt! And, it was fun... hehe.
Uhm... was I drinking a lot recently? What meme?
Naughty Lakota: Never been to Rome, but I have been to Italy, and from what I recall... they didn't seem to have all that great driving skills over there. France was worse (Marseille nearly killed me!)
Jeff B: I'm pretty sure he did need a change of underwear! ;)
Richard: The dude is almost as good a driver as me! ;) And, yes - I will not get in a cab with a four point seatbelt!
Karen: Don't you just love it? I wish we got TV like that over here!
Kristen Bjorg: Thanks for pimping my site over at yours! One heck of a ride that was, huh?
What is that called?
I think what you refer to may fall under the category of Pride in the Seven Deadly Sins... I'll be addressing that sin in my 7DS series if you want to learn more about it ;)
Hey! You should blog at your blogger account - I can't comment on MySpace.
Kristen Bjorg: Scrap that last part of my comment... just realized you do blog on blogger as well... same pictures (pretty much)
my fave japanese show is Most extreme eliminiation challenge. you guys have that over there? it rocks my dock, entirely.
Tequila Mockingbird: No - no Asian shows what-so-ever on TV over here... I'll have to look it up on the internet. Never heard of that show - I'll have to check it out!
LMAO!!! Wow... and I've never taken a cab ride in my life. I'm usually the one behind the wheel everywhere i go. It's rare for others to drive me.
YOu are right! Japanese have some extremely odd and interesting shows!
Aunt Jackie: You've never taken a cab in your life? Wow! I rarely take a taxi, but never is quite impressive!
And, after this... you probably never will ;)
There is only one thing i cannot get:HOw can they keep doing this stuff and not be ruin by sueing fees?
But I still had a really good laught!
Jill: I don't know - I guess people are just more "understanding" there ;) Or, the law simply won't charge the television stations.
If they try this out here, the show will be cancel before it air!
Jill: Quite possibly ;)
