WWC / Biggest Heart

Busy busy week, and the Weekly Words Challenge is upon us once again. As you all well should know by know it is Blogville's own birthday girl Tink of Pickled Beef who is hosting the WWC on a weekly basis. Get on over there and honk your horn in honor of her big day!

For this week she chose the words PRIDE and CIRCLE, and I must admit I had to shoot some pics in desparation to make it this week. Sorry about that - but I will not give up!

Before we begin showing off our pictures... let me announce that I have been given another award. I got me a nice "Biggest Heart" award from the very interesting Odd Facts... if ever you are in need of some (well...) Odd Facts - that is the place to check out. Very peculiar little factoids are presented over at her place.

The toughest part about recieving an award is passing it on. But, after some serious thought (and many tears for those I had to leave behind) I have decided to pass this on to three wonderful bloggers.

Tequila Mockingbird, for being such a loyal commenter in December - and because behind that rough exterior... I'm sure she does have a big heart!

Dana and TT, for being so supportive and knowing how to cheer a guy up when he's feeling down.

Many more of you deserve this award... may you know that you're in my thoughts!

So! Let's get down to the nitty gritty... that being the WWC!

PRIDE of a flag

**********

Many CIRCLE shaped buttons and symbols

**********

My stereo has many CIRCLE shapes

**********

A CIRCLE can of Swedish tobacco

**********

A CIRCLE shaped lamp

**********

Blue CIRCLEs glowing

**********

There you have it. My WWC contribution on the fourth week of the new year. Many many more to come, and already next week we will be playing with the words NARROW and BROAD. So get out there and snap away!

For those that missed my post yesterday... do check out the brand new challenge (Picture Fiction Challenge) I am going to host. That post is just an example, and I was mighty surprised and very very pleased to see that so many were willing to participate in this challenge. Keep those opinions coming!

Until next time - Ta-taa!

~pinches REH's butt~
congrats on the award sweetcheeks.

Sigh of relief that you have lots of participants on your project. My own story is kicking my ass - I don't thinky I could handle one more.

That neon blue circle makes me think of all sorts of naughty ways to use it... ~wink~

Karen said...

Great photos. Those neon circles make a cool picture. I am excited that so many people have reacted positively to your picture fiction challenge. You rock!

Those are great examples of the words! I think I like the second one best - because I'm still trying to figure out what it is! It sorta looks like a wall mounted robot to me - the thing on top is his helmet.

Congratulations on your award!

That blue circles thing is freaky cool!

Congrats on the Big Hardon Award! Rock on with your bad self!

Jay said...

Great pictures. Pride was really hard.

The blue rings are very cool.

Tequila Mockingbird: Nah, I think you're a softie actually... nice and soft ;)

Ginni Dee: You can use my picture and show it to them for proof! Blue neon circles do exist! ;)

Lakota Princess: Oooh, you naughty girl you ;)

Feel free to participate if you want though... hey! Make it real tough - and incorporate the challenge into your own story!?

Hmmm... I cannot possibly think any naughty thoughts based on those blue circles... what am I missing out on here?

Karen: I'm very excited about that too! I honestly didn't think I would get any more than maybe one or two who would give it a shot.

Fiwa: That wall mounted robot (hehe) controls payments for my laundry where I live. It goes on my rent every month... this thing is new and has only been around for about six months.

Red button means - time is about to run out.

Yellow button means - keeping tabs on your use of the machines so we can charge you for it.

Green button means - power is on, do your laundry!

Blue button - press this when you're done so that the next person doesn't wash their clothes and you'll have to pay for it.

RockDog: A big hard-on award would be cool!

Jay: Yeah, pride really was a tough one.

Funny how you all seem to like the blue circles... I almost didn't post that one ;) It's actually the power lamp of my external hard drive ;)

Jahooni said...

Okay, Jay told me to hop over here, so I did. And why do we do what he tells us to do? Oh Yeah because of that skip rock vlog!

Nice pics. At least you didn't have a beenie pic making all your readers horny!

R.E.H. said...

Jahooni: Welcome! Yeah, Jay's rock skipping skills cannot be matched!

If you ask Lakota - she found a way to think erotic thoughts of the blue circles... I'm still trying to figure that one out myself though ;)

Liv said...

woo! another challenge met with great skill. again. just sitting here on my ass watching everyone else perform miracles. it's what i do.

tt said...

Awww....I'm so excited! Thank you so much. I've never won anything in my life....ever! Sheesh, I'm blushing here...
So, that robot thing is all about laundry? For real? That's one way to get a guy to do his laundry. Amazing!
Love your pics...interesting you didn't pic the Swedish flag...hummmmmmm

cmacc said...

Great shots as per! Love the blue rings, what IS that??

Sparkling Red said...

Swedish tobacco? What's the story behind that? Do you, perhaps, put on a silk smoking jacket and light up your pipe while ruminating on your blog ideas? ;-)

Jay said...

swedish tobacco?

haha you are posh!

care to share? nevermind, i don't want mouth cancer. man, that was depressing!

Dana said...

Wow! Biggest heart award? I don't know what to say. And here I thought I was portraying the "trained killer" that I truely am! Damn!

Thank you - for all you do. You inspire and put yourself out there. Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS on receiving the award!

fiwa said...

Ok, I could have guessed all day and I would never have figured out that's what it is for!

L.P. said...

~sigh~
cockrings?
restraints?
symbolic yoni?

Jen said...

Someday, r.e.h., you'll find someone to share your "biggest heart" with. You will. Promise.

Congratulations! Great pick on giving that award to "TT", I've been reading her blog on and off for a while now & she seems to have a BIG OLE HEART too. Besides that, in keeping tradition, I know at least one of her kids has followed in her footsteps in that manner. . . .

R.E.H. said...

Liv: Sitting on one's ass watching miracles sounds like a lot of fun to me ;)

TT: Well, you certainly deserved the award. Your comments here have brightened up many a day for me.

Well... I don't have a Swedish flag anywhere... my heart will always remain in the U S of A.

Backpacker Momma: Thanks. Blue Rings = Power lamp of external hard drive.

Sparkling Red: Swedish tobacco... you don't smoke it. The word for it is "snus". It's kind of like Indian River, Skoal and what other names I don't remember - but then very much not the same. Nothing of the sort exists in the US. You put it under your lip, and it's addictive as hell. I am its slave (at least I don't smoke, which is far worse).

Jay Cam: As often as people have tried to pin mouth cancer to "snus" (see above), the scientists continue to come up empty. Fact is - while "snus" does you no good, health wise, it does not result in cancer.

Casdok said...

Congratulations on your award.
Love the WWC pics.

R.E.H. said...

Dana: You may be that trained killer over at your blog (sometimes), but over hear you show nothing but a big loving heart!

And, Thank You for sticking around!

Fiwa: Yeah, we have a high tech laundry room here ;)

I kinda feel sorry for the elderly people in the building, because some of them have a hard time understanding the whole thing.

Lakota Princess: Yeah, I was wondering if you were thinking of glow-in-the-dark cockrings ;)

Jen: I would hope so - that girl had better be ready for some big lovin' too ;)

I thought TT deserved recognition for that big heart of hers.

Casdok: Thank You.

Like the glowing circle! It reminds me of a Telecom company's logo out here :)

BTW; The picture fiction challenge- Should we pick up one random picture or three(or more) random picture and relate them?

Allison Horner said...

Congrats on your award & that was so sweet of you to give it to TT (b/c she is so sweet & part of my family, I am partial to her).

Yes, I agree, you will find someone someday to share your bil ol' heart with. :)

Very cool pictures! I've been bad and haven't been doing the WWC for a few weeks now. I, too, was wondering what all those buttons were. That's so cool that they for a clothes washer. Very interesting! I of course really like the flag & the blue glowing circle is so cool!

Tink said...

Thank you for the birthday wishes! Since I have a cold they wouldn't let me blow out my candles at work so I had to chose a designated blower. I even made her a paper badge that said "Designated Blower." No one could understand why I kept laughing.

Leighann said...

Congrats on the award, to you and the other winners!

I was surprised we didn't see more flags for the PRIDE part of WWC! I too like the blue circles!

R.E.H. said...

Joel: No... I will post the pictures from which the story is to be written. We are all going to write the story based on the same set of pictures.

I am likely to put up the first challenge on Friday, and I'll announce the deadline for posting your stories then.

Alli: Yeah, I thought TT deserved the award. All of you do, but I couldn't hand it out to everyone.

It's about time you get back on the WWC wagon, and did you check out that new challenge I posted about?

Tink: Designated Blower *hihi* what does a Designated Blower do? ;) I have a dirty mind...

I can see why they wanted a DB though... no one wants snot in their cake.

Leighann: Yeah, I was expecting a lot of flags too, so I felt kind of unoriginal as I came up with that.

That is definitely a well-deserved award and comes with a great picture to boot! Congrats. Even though I have many posts-in-progress at the moment, I am anxiously awaiting the first picture fiction challenge. I got to do this in high school, in creative writing, and I loved it. It was with only one picture, and I created a poem, but same general concept - and it was a lot of fun.

Congrats on the award!!

Excellent photos as always. I really like the flag shot and the glowing circles. Nice job!

R.E.H. said...

Tequila Mockingbird: Aaah... just like a shot of tequila - real smooth ;)

Emmeline: Thanks - yeah I do like the picture on that award.

Picture Fiction Challenge #1 should be presented this Friday here on my blog.

And I used to love creative writing in school. There is a post I've been meaning to write about that, which is somewhat fun (I think)

G-Man: Thank You. I will never quite reach the quality that you present each week, though.
