WWC / Double You See

It is time for some fun and games as the double you, double you, see is due for this week. And, as I think of it... why is it that it is double you, when really it should be a double vee?

Anyway... as you all (should) know, the WWC is brought to you by the astoundingly beautiful, the smokin' hot, the alluringly sexy and immensely cute - the never plain, Tink of Pickled Beef! And this weeks words are INANIMATE and YELLOW.

So, with no further delay, I present to you my pictures of the week. Hope you enjoy, and now I'm off to have a peek at what the rest of you people may have come up with to represent the words.

Here goes:

This INANIMATE seal is actually a bottle opener

**********

Since these plants are dead, do they qualify as INANIMATE?
(as in "not alive")

**********

YELLOW street lights along the highway

**********

A YELLOW McDonald's sign at night time

**********

Well, I hope you did enjoy... ;-)

If you want to play next week... the words for next tuesday are ASSORTMENT and PURPLE... Hmmm... what to shoot, what to shoot?

Damn you! Now I want McDonald's! ;) Nice Pictures. My parents has a similar seal bottle opner growing up. The bottle fit right in the tail and I thought it was the coolest.

Ouch! That first part hurt my brain...double you double you...double vee...

Very nice pics! I like the seal. That was really cute!

Just give the plants a shot of water and maybe a dash of Miracle Gro. Those are hard to kill off! Unless you like the dead look. :)

Hey, this seems fun. Yellow and inanimate. Hmm... I'll go with a picture of Larry Hagman.

Karen: Might be the same kind I have then. The bottle goes in the tail. McDonald's... yeah, for a quick meal - but I'm not really a big fan (still end up eating there quite often)

Butterfly Girl: A girlfriend was over a few days ago, and she told me to throw those plants out.

"You'll never bring those back to life", is what she told me. She did fix up a few others nicely... guess I should find me a steady girlfriend with green fingers.

Lightning Bug's Butt: Larry Hagman, huh? ;)

Yeah, you should really do the WWC - it is quite fun and addictive.

Driving and taking pictures. I do the same thing. Drives my wife nuts (no pun intended).

I also like the symbolism of the bottle opener. It is dead but still damned useful. :) Nice job.

lol way to compare inanimate to dead! i wouldn't have thought of that!

Fantastic going with wwc thing. Anyways, keep up the good work on the NaBloPoMo thing too. Just ten more days of obligation!

REH thanks for making such nice comments on my blog. Very sweet. Damn that "One" she's a freaking fool you know.

Anyways, take care! Hope your store is closed for Thanksgiving. I know mine are. Yippppeeee a mid week respite!

Well done! Great pics.

Have a great Thanksgiving!

Very well done, I especially like the bottle opener WITH the yellow marble. I'm such a fair weather WWC friend - I only play when the words seem easy. :(

G-Man: Yeah... think I took about 20 of those highway pictures, nearly crashing the car while trying to get a decent shot. The one I use here is probably the only one that even comes close to having some sort of focus, and not just be completely blurred.

Jay Cam: From Dictionary.com:

in·an·i·mate (ĭn-ān'ə-mĭt) Pronunciation Key
adj.
Not having the qualities associated with active, living organisms. See Synonyms at dead.

Beautifully Profound: And, thank you for leaving such nice comments on my blog.

Our store doesn't ever close. I'll be working on Thanksgiving :(

Jay: Thanks, man. You too!

Fiwa: I realized that too, that both my Inanimate Pics had some Yellow in it... should have mentioned that for bonus sporks ;)

The yellow marble was placed there to look like one of those balls the seals play with on those shows. One of the pots for the plants is yellow, and the background is all yellow.

That was one hell of an introduction, REH. I think you should record that for me so I can play it each morning for motivation. ;)

Great use of the words! My favorite shot is of the seal. Nice touch with the marble. The driving one cracked me up though. I did that once and ended up in a ditch. Fortunately I have an SUV. So... Yeah. Just don't tell Hoop.

It is called double V in France ('double-vay'). They're clever, those Frenchies. I don't know if they could pull off a WWC like this though ;)

Guilty ruined my comment. I was also going to remark on the "double-vay". I had three years of French in high school, and that is what I remember, lol.
I like the bottle opener.
Pop something open for me, will ya ;)

Tink: Oh, there was nothing in that introduction that wasn't 100% true ;) I will consider recording it for you... you could use it to wake you up.

Oh... and my lips a sealed ;)

Guilty Secret: I've always had a low opinion about the French... I guess since when I was there, the sons-of-bitches wouldn't speak english... but, maybe now I'll have to admit they do have their ups too :)

Samantha K: The bottle opener is my favorite shot too. I keep it on top of my stove looking pretty :)

I have a bottle of Chardonnay here... but I can't seem to get the damn thing open using my dolphin... what kind of a stupid bottle opener is this, that won't open a simple bottle of fucking Chardonnay!!! WHAT'S A MAN GOT TO DO FOR SOME ROMANCE THESE DAYS???... sorry, sweetheart. I wanted this to be the perfect date and all... but... this stupid dolphin won't open the bottle!!!

R.E.H.: Dolphin??? Since when is that thing a dolphin???

Have you completely lost your mind, finally?

Assortment and purple? The suspense is killing me!

Odd Facts: Yeah it does... doesn't it? ;)

I liked the seal with marble picture. They are all awesome. And I sort of resent you for making me crave a Big Mac now.

R.E.H. said...

Newt: You resent me for that? ;) Well, I sort of have that effect on people some times...
